As a PhD Candidate in Social Anthropology with Visual Media at the University of Manchester, I am focused on the intersection of race and gender in the political lives, identities and experiences of women of color. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, my fieldwork explores the multi-faceted ways in which these women engage in political process. During this exciting and unprecedented 2016 election season, I am employing a range of ethnographic techniques, including visual methods, in the data collection and dissertation phase of my study.
As I begin this next chapter, I'll post updates on my life in England and the United States, travel photos, articles and stories I find interesting, and some of my academic work, including written pieces, films and photography. I may even post some my latest recipes, photos of my latest meals and baked treats, or fun, new cocktails.
If you or someone you know may be interested in my research and work, please feel free to contact me at any of the buttons below.
